Best TV I’ve ever had!
Very happy finally getting a Sony TV, have wanted one for a long time and finally got one!

Great TV
After 15 years my plasma tv bit the dust. Read the reviews on the X800G and a majority of the people are happy with the TV. I don’t care for the stand it looks like it would be to easy to knock it over. The set up was easy and the color looks bright. Lets hope it stays that way.

Excellent TV
My first foray into the big screen. Replacing a 43″ Samsung that was too small for the room. I really like this set. The price was too good to pass up.

Great features!
I bought this a month ago because I had no choice. It was the only brand and the last tv at a local store. We had a heck of a time setting it up because it is different from the last tv we had. But when we finally figured it out. OMG!!! We couldn’t get over how awesome the features are. It makes the movies so much more enjoyable. And the sound is great. The last tv we always had to crank it up to 70-100 to hear the tv. This tv not so much, 15-25 is just right and the sound is awesome! If there were more stars for picture quality I’d give it more than a 5-star rating.

Great picure and sound
I was undecided between the Sony and the Samsung QLED. I compared all of the features of both and in the end, it came down to the Sony name and the price.

Great TV but Fails as a Smart TV
This TV has an excellent picture and a beautiful design. I like how it has a discrete but visible white light that lets you know the TV is on or coming on. The remote control is easy to use and has buttons which are a nice size. The only drawback is that the remote control has a square design where both ends feel the same. It would have been better if it had a shape where you could just feel which end was the bottom without having to look at it. Sometimes I’ll grab it and the IR emitter is pointing at me. It has a great feature where it comes with extra emitters to control your cable box and Blu-Ray player. You tell it which cable company you have and it knows what the channels are. The Android Aspect of this TV is Horrible and is what motivated me to write this review. It has a Speak to Function, sort of Alexa. I tell it to tune “Turner Classic Movies” and it will go to the channel and change the input if required. The drawback is that many times if it doesn’t find the channel it takes you to YouTube to find content for whatever you asked for. So it doesn’t work very well. There are two ways to access Apps on this TV which I found very confusing and redundant. You can go via the Sony interface or via the Android TV interface. They are both horrible. The only advantage of the Sony interface is that it has less Apps to scroll through. When the TV was new I experienced more buffering when I used the Apps via the Sony interface so I stopped using it. The Apps on the Android interface work better but at times Apps such as Movies Anywhere or Vudu will have slight interruptions when playing your movie. This is something I have not experienced when using an Older Roku device that I have. If I want to watch VUDU I have to scroll through 30 plus Apps that I have no interest in. There is no way to remove them. Actually I found some instructions on how to remove these “Featured Apps” but then I could not access my VUDU App. I could only open it through the Google Assistant Speak To button. I had to restore all these 30 Plus Apps to be able to have Vudu show on the screen. At times some new Apps appear that weren’t there before. Why should I have to always have to look at so many Apps (I actually counted up to 40 something) that do not interest me? If there is an App I want I should be able to go to the Google Play Store, find the App I want and install it. I think it is incredible that after paying so much money for a Premium TV that we can’t hide or uninstall apps we do not want. Another drawback is that some Apps such as Turner Classic Movies are not available on this Android TV. In order to retain the ability to watch my 4K movies from Vudu and other services I am going to have to order a Roku ultra. Roku lets you uninstall Apps you aren’t interested in and they don’t make you scroll through tens of Apps you have Zero interest in. I would still recommend this product to a friend, but with the warning that the Android TV function is full of bloatware.
